Sarah Palin would be proud of me.September 15th, 2008 by Jared

Yesterday, while i was busy outrunning several tornados in our area, i managed to go to one of my favorite arms dealers (i love calling them that), Gander Mountain. It was there that i put money down on one of the prettiest handguns on the face of the planet, the Taurus Raging Bull, seen below.

Being a designer, firearms can be one of the best sources for inspiration in modern design. The Bull is well, pretty. Its a nice looking gun to look at, even if it were never fired. But as anyone who has fired a 44 Mag will tell you, they kick like a mule. It might be a looker, but its all business. To me, firing one is just as much fun as looking at it.

Owning this gun (which I don’t yet… still paying for it) is one of the rights that I have in this country. As long as I don’t use it to violate the rights of another, then I am free to have it. But fear-mongering and belief that the government knows better than the people do are what Palin’s opposition believe to be true, and it will never jive with me. Responsible gun ownership is a privilege, and just because owning one is offensive to a liberal doesn’t mean that I am going to hand it over to them to melt down to make a flower box. Owning a gun doesn’t automatically make me a cold-blooded killer, just like eating tofu doesn’t make you a soybean.

This has to be the worst website I’ve ever seen. If this is simply a ploy to make money, good idea. If not, you should be ashamed.

So the Raging Bull is basically Sarah Palin in firearm form? A looker who means business.

I think Taurus is thinking about making the “Raging Palin.” I’m pretty sure that the grip will be pink, though. I hope that Palin eventually reads this because your analogy was a good one. She may need to run with it…
